Daily Devo – October 16, 2017

Today is Monday, October 16, 2017. Hi, my name is Adam Burton, and you are listening to the daily devo. A short devotional designed to help you apply God’s Word to your life. The content comes from the Gospel Project.

Take a few moments and read: Matthew 27:15-51.

Before God spoke light into existence, there was darkness. Before the Israelites’ redemption from Egypt, the plague of darkness covered the nation. And at the crucifixion, darkness swallowed the whole land for three hours as a marker of the moment’s cosmic significance.

Think about this: What do the events at Golgotha demonstrate about the love of the Father and the love of the Son? If a non-Christian asked you why Jesus died, how would you respond?

If you are in need of prayer, please get in touch with me. I would love to pray for you. You can connect with me on social media or shoot me an email: adam@adamburton.net.
